Elizabeth the Duchess of York (later Elizabeth the Queen Mother 1900-2002) lighting lamps at the Toc H League of Helpers Festival and lamplighting Ceremonial at the Royal Albert Hall, London - October 27th 1934. The Duchess lit lamps of 28 new branches including Auckland, Bulawayo and Vancouver. Toc H is an international Christian movement. The name is an abbreviation for Talbot House, 'Toc' signifying the letter T in the signals spelling alphabet used by the British Army in World War I.
