Letter from Hardacre J. Pitt. An important touring manager in the decades around 1900, he used his notepaper to advertise his repertoire. This letter from the Comedy Theatre, Manchester, is dated 10th December 1891. Of the plays illustrated, ?East Lynne? and ?The Shaughraun? date from the 1860s. ?Current Cash? by C. A. Clarke was from 1886, and ?Old London? by Arthur Shirley had been first produced as recently as 25th July 1891.
