The Boy presented by Alfred Butt, written by Fred Thompson and Percy Greenbank. First produced at the Adelphi Theatre on 14th September 1917. It ran for 801 performances ? one of the longest runs of any musical theatre piece up to that time. W. H. Berry played the hapless magistrate Mr Meebles, the boy?s stepfather.
