The Arcadians, a musical comedy by Mark Ambient and Alexander M Thompson, with lyrics by Arthur Wimperis and music by Lionel Monckton and Howard Talbot. First produced at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London, April 1909. Showing the comic Arcadian, Doody, playing a lyre. The comedy element of the musical comedy was very pronounced. The show was popular with amateur operatic societies at least until the 1950s.
