This marble vase is one of a pair commissioned in 1690 by King William III (1689-1702) for the gardens at Hampton Court. It was created by Caius Gabriel Cibber (1630-1700) and is decorated with a relief depicting the Triumph of Bacchus. Bacchus is holding a bunch of grapes as he stands in a chariot drawn by lions
