A satire on the assassination attempt on King George III by Mary Nicholson, a mentally ill former domestic servant. Here Fox is portrayed as the attacker; the print is clearly tongue in cheek, and is accompanied by a comical caption. Nicholson had attempted to stab the King whilst handing him a false petition. She was seized immediately but George prevented any harm coming to her, shouting; 'the poor creature is mad, do not hurt her. She has not hurt me.'
