Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, (1887 ? 1976), Montgomery was in command the 3rd division assault on Northern France in 1944. The military manoeuvre began in the early hours of June 6th and included British, Canadian and U.S forces.
