Mrs Jack and Mrs Lionel Hall in the costumes they wore to the Victory Ball, held at the Albert Hall on 27 November to celebrate the end of the First World War. The highlight of the evening was a procession of costumed ladies representing the Allies and symbols of peace. The cream of society attended and the 4000 tickets sold raised money for the Nation's Fund for Nurses.
