1937 advertisement for the Westminster hotel at the fashionable French resort, Le Touquet, 'halfway between London and Paris on the lovely French Channel coast, amidst lovely woods, Le Touquet adds an English atmosphere to a French setting. British and French society meet at this fashionable seaside resort. Its Casino and three golf courses are famous.' According to the advert, the Westminster was situated in a pine forest, close to Casino, half a mile from the Aerodrome and five minutes from the beach and golf links. Perfect!
