Champagne - Ferme de Navarin German front line was here from Sept 1915 - July 1918 when it was the scene of bitter fighting. The heroic statue is atop an ossuary for 10,000 men: the figures are (L-R): brother of the sculptor who was killed on Chemin Des Dames, General Gouraud Quentin Roosevelt, son of President Roosevelt.
