German Jewish schoolgirl, Anne (Annelies Marie) Frank (1929-1945), famous for her diary written while hiding in a house in Amsterdam during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Along with her sister Margot she was a victim of the Holocaust, dying in Bergen Belsen concentration camp. Seen here sitting at a desk and smiling, with a notebook in front of her.
