More types of agrarian agitators of the Romanian peasants' revolt in the Illustrated London News. The photographs show the kind of Romanian people purported to be involved in the revolt which began in March 1907 and resulted in the deaths of many thousands of people after the army was called in to restore order. Included are a shoeblack removing the dust of the road from the boots of a rich farmer; a Romanian nunnery; a charcoal peddlar; children leaving school, and on their way to church; Moldavian dress; costumes at a wedding.
