The original entrance arch to Neal's Music Hall, Fishamble Street, Dublin. It was here, at Noon on Tuesday 13th April, 1742, that over 700 men, without their swords, and women, without their hoops, were crammed tightly in to hear the world's first performance of George Frederic Handel's new oratorio 'Messiah'. Sadly, today the archway is all that remains, behind it, a block of modern apartments.
