Engraving of the Prussian War-Steamer 'Nix', built by Robinson and Russell of Millwall, London, 1851. This paddle steamer underwent trials on the Thames river in March and April of that year, averaging 14 knots. The 'Nix' was the second of a class built at Millwall, the first being the 'Salamander'.
