After a boy broke her window, Miss Marian Fletcher of Linthwaite, near Huddersfield in Yorkshire, set up a private police force of children aged 7-12 to encourage better behaviour. Before long every child in the village wanted to join. Seen here is PD David Taylor, aged 8, and a colleague, reporting to Miss Fletcher after a day on patrol in the village.
