Dinosaurs - paleontologist Lynett Gillette examines bones of the dinosaur Coelophysis (Coelophysis bauri). Coelophysis was a small carnivorous dinosaur of the Late Triassic (Chinle Formation). A Coelophysis mass mortality site was discovered at Ghost Ranch, near Abiquiu, New Mexico in 1947. The centerpiece of the Ghost Ranch Museum is an 8-ton bloc of matrix transported from the quarry. On this photo, paleontologist Lynett Gillette examines bones of Coelophysis that have been carefully exposed at the top of the block. Model released.
