PERINGUEY?S DESERT ADDER - hidden in sand, showing lure. (Bitis peringuey ). Namib desert, Namibia. Africa. This is a mildly poisonous ?sidewinder? adder that shuffles completely in to the fine sand of the Namib Desert, perfectly camouflaged to await prey leaving only its eyes exposed which are situated on top of its rounded, flat head, and sometimes its black tail tip which it waves to attract lizards as a lure.
