Black ghost knifefish, Apteronotus albifrons. They live on freshwater habitats in South America from Venezuela to Paraguay, including Amazonas basin. Are weakly electric fish that use an electric organ and receptors distributed over the length of their body in order to locate preys. Much of its natural diet is insect larvae.
