St Leonard's Hill, Clewer, near Windsor, Berkshire, 1894. Originally known as Forest Court, the house was built for Countess Waldegrave in the 1760s, who re-named it Gloucester Lodge. Substantial alterations in the Ch?teauesque style were made in the 19th century, when its name was changed to St Leonard's Hill. From Beautiful Britain; views of our stately homes.
