Cobalt chloride test paper. When dipped into water, cobalt(II) chloride (CoCl2) test paper changes its color from blue (anhydrous CoCl2) to purple (dihydrate CoCl2 2H2O) to pink (hexahydrate CoCl2 6H2O). Therefore it is often used as a water (humidity) detector.
