A 3D molecular model of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA4), a protein receptor on the surface of Helper T-cells that downregulates the immune system by transmitting inhibitory signals to other T-Cells. Mutations in the CTLA4 gene are associated with insulin-dependent diabetes, Graves' disease, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, celiac disease, lupus, and other autoimmune diseases.
