The RiboPrinter provides a characteristic genetic fingerprint or RiboPrint pattern for virtually any bacterium of interest (environmental isolates, spoilage organisms, pathogens) in about eight hours. RiboPrint patterns are based on rRNA genes and can be used not only to identify bacteria but also their relatedness. This ability helps pinpoint sources of contamination.
