Nickel (II) phosphate precipitate. Nickel sulfate (NiSO4) is added to a test tube containing sodium phosphate (Na3PO4). Both solutions are 0.5 M concentration. Nickel phosphate precipitate (Ni3(PO4)2) is formed as a result: NiSO4 + Na3PO4 -> Ni3(PO4)2 + Na2SO4. This is an example of a double displacement reaction.
