Lead chloride precipitate. This series shows a progression as lead (II) nitrate (Pb(NO3)2) is added drop by drop to a test tube containing potassium chloride (KCl). Both solutions are 0.5 M concentration. Lead (II) chloride precipitate (PbCl2) is formed as a result: KCl + Pb(NO3)2 -> PbCl2 + KNO3. This is an example of a double displacement reaction.
