Photovoltaic (solar power) shingle tile roof on the Brockweir and Hewelsfield Village Shop, Forest of Dean, UK. Almost the entire roof is covered with photovoltaic shingles with just a small strip of ordinary tiles on each side. Following support from both the local community and several grant aiding bodies this innovative eco-community project opened in 2004. The building is constructed of local green oak with a 5Kw photovoltaic shingle tile roof and a 9Kw ground source heat pump.
