Tomb of Rekhmire in Thebes, Egypt. Rekhmire was a governor of Thebes in the 18th Dynasty during the reigns of Tuthmosis III and Amenophis II. Located in the Valley of the Nobles in ancient Thebes, this is considered one of the finest painted tombs in the Theban necropolis. Painted scenes depict Rekhmire's life and funeral procession, and the craftsmen he oversaw. Seen here are sculptors, carpenters, tanners, and others.
