Champagne Pool is a geothermal feature within the Waiotapu geothermal area in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand. Water reaches 74 degrees celcius, and the name is derived from the large number of CO2 bubbles being released from the water. Pictured here are overflow channels from the pool. The orange color is due to a concentration of antimony.
