Subalpine larkspur, Delphinium barbeyi, also known as tall larkspur, in Pitkin County, Colorado. Inhabits subalpine, riparian habitats as well as scree slopes from UT and WY to AZ and NM. Larkspurs contain the poisonous alkakloid delphinine and are responsible for poisoning cattle.
