Weedin's green-flowered hedgehog cactus, Echinocereus viridiflorus (chloranthus) var. weedinii. The E. viridiflorus/chloranthus complex has long been in a state of taxonomic debate. This little known variety is distinctive with its long and abundant yellow spines. It is limited to exposed rocky ledges and ridge crests in the Davis Mountains of West Texas.
