When ripe, the inflated seed pods of the Double Bladderpod (Physaria acutifolia) separate from the plant and are blown across the landsape, thus distributing their seeds. Bladderpods are members of the mustard family. This species is found from NM to Montana, west to ID and NV. Photo taken LaPlata Co., CO.
