Pond cypress trees (Taxodium ascendens) draped with spanish moss along the edge of Dalzell Bay, Sumter County, South Carolina, in April. Dalzell Bay is a carolina bay habitat, a marshy oval basin found along the Atlantic coastal plain. The yellow flowers blooming on the lake are insect-eating swollen bladderworts (Utricularia inflata).
