SEM of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker's yeast - large cells) found along with bacteria in fermented fruit juice. Both parental cells are still dividing and also show that they underwent cellular division many times. Bacterial cells (cocci) have not been identified and were of 'natural' origin. This image serves as a comparison of fungus and bacteria cells. Image width W: 18.3 micrometers.
