The femurs of the rear legs of a honeybee bear long hairs and form the so-called 'pollen baskets' while the tibias (as seen here) have rows of hairs which form a brush for removing pollen from the coat. Cleared specimen. Crossed polars with lambda plate. Horizontal Field Width = 3mm.
