Light micrograph of the parasitic liver fluke Clonorchis sinensis. C. sinensis uses freshwater snails, minnow, and carp as secondary hosts. Humans are infected by eating raw fish, resulting in diarrhea, abdominal pain and liver cirrhosis. This liver fluke is hermaphroditic. Its branched testes are at the far right and its uterus, at center, is made up of the brown oblong shapes. The fluke's digestive system is seen as a pair of intestinal tubes running from the oral sucker down the length of its body. 20x at 35mm.
