The Precinct of Amun-Re, part of the Karnak Temple Complex, at sunrise. Karnak was the residence of gods, Amun-Re, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, the moon god. The complex lies 4 kilometers to the north of modern day Luxor, or ancient Thebes. Built in the 12th dynasty, 2000 B.C.- 220 B.C.
