In an effort to ascertain the effects of small amounts of radiation encountered over an extended period of time, this man took part in an experiment in which he ingested small amounts of radioactive materials, such as are found in atomic fallout, mixed in with his food every day for a month. At the end of the month, measurements of the amount of strontium 85 in different parts of the body were taken and the results plotted, showing what parts of the body the strontium was deposited in. Supposedly the amounts of radiation used were too small to be at all dangerous.
