Colossal sandstone statue of the Ancient Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaton. Akhenaton reigned c. 1364-1347 BCE. He embraced a monotheism in which the sun god Ra (whom he called Aten or Aton) was the supreme creator. This piece was found in Karnak and is held in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.
