This type of statue makes its appearance in the beginning of the Postclassic Mesoamerica, and is associated with the Toltecs.The Museo Nacional de Antropologia is Mexico's most visited, and important museum. The museum contains the world's largest collection of ancient Mexican art and artifacts, from the Pre-Columbian heritage of Mexico. There is a hall, dedicated to each of the cultural regions of Central America (Mexico especially), and ethnographic exhibits, about Mexico's present-day indigenous groups. The ethnographic exhibits, are located on the second floor of the museum.
