The Great Kiva of Chetro Ketl, Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. This great house is one of the most well known Chacoan Anasazi (Ancestral Pueblo) site in the Chaco Canyon National Park of New Mexico. It was discovered in 1849 by the Simpson expedition. It was begun circa 1020 AD and by 1120 AD it was abandoned. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
