A Catholic church carved out from the interior of a salt mine. It is about 600 feet (200m) underground. The church has small chapels representing the stations of the cross, and a baptismal font. The salt cathedral is a testimony to the use of heavy machinery, and ingenius design of sculptural effects. It is located about an hour and a half from Bogota in the small city of Zipaquira. Like Bogota it is in the Department of Cundinamarca.
