View of Tarascon Castle in the Provence region of France. Construction was begun in 1401 by Louis II of Anjou and completed in 1449 by his second son, Rene I of Naples, thus the castle is often referred to as le ch璽teau du roi Ren矇 ("King Ren矇's castle"). An extremely popular site situated on the Rhone River it was Good King Rene's favorite golden stoned castle.
