Danburite, a calcium borosilicate mineral, occurs as an accessory mineral in ore deposits all over the world. It generally forms well-shaped blade-like crystals with a characteristic termination. The crystals from Charcas, Mexico are colorless and pale pink, and often transparent enough to yield cut gemstones that are hard enough to wear in jewelry.
