Autunite, calcium uranyl phosphate, forms as a result of the oxidation of uranium minerals, and is well known to collectors because of spectacular crystal aggregates from the Daybreak Mine, Spokane, Washington. These radiating clusters are bright yellow-green and very distinctive. Autunite occurs in uranium localities throughout the world.
