Wall cloud. A wall cloud is a localized, persistent rain-free base. Wall clouds often exhibit rapid cyclonic rotation and upward motion. They are important to watch our for because rotating wall clouds usually develop prior to violent and strong tornodoes. Photographed on June 5, 2001.
