Volcanic landscape with plugs of trachyte rock (Crater Bluff, foreground, and distant Tonduran Spire) which have resisted eons of weathering to stand proud of the rest of the landscape in Warrumbungle National Park, New South Wales, Australia. They were once the molten vents of a huge shield volcano, exposed now by weathering of the surrounding softer material. A currawong (Strepera sp.) sits on the rock to the right.
