Brachiopod fossil (Terebratella sp.), from the Cretaceous Period, France. Terebratella is an articulate brachiopod that grew to a length of about 40 mm. The pedicle valve extends beyond the brachial valve at the beak. Both valves are convex and ornamented with delicate radiating ribs. There are also concentric growth lines visible.
