Pickerelweed, duckweed and algae in Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Boynton Beach, Florida. The Wakodahatchee Wetlands are a man-made wetland ecosystem, designed to replicate native Florida habitats. Highly-treated wastewater from the local treatment plant is filtered through the marshes, and the nutrients feed the plants and animals. There is a nature trail for birdwatching.
