Southern Stingray (Dasyatis americana). Can grow up to 5 1/2 feet. Found on sandy bottoms and hunts by sucking up fish and invertebrates from the bottom. Has a venomous, barbed tail for protection. Photographed in Grand Cayman. Jacks often follow them to eat organisms the stingrays stir up.
