Mating pair of flower longhorn beetles, Typocerus velutinus, also known as banded longhorns, in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. The larvae of this longhorn beetle feed on decaying sumac and hardwoods, but adults eat pollen and nectar. They are common throughout much of eastern North America.
