Asian shore crab, Hemigrapsus sanguineus, is a small brachyuran crab (Grapsidae) native to Japan and other western Pacific regions. In recent years it has become a rapidly expanding invasive species in the NE United States. This one is at Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
